Chronicling the goings on of the dogs & friends of Silverwalk Hounds
Your azalea is beautiful! Do you do anything special to it? I planted 2 a few years ago & they have not done too well :(
Though I haven't done this, I was told by an elderly patient, after blooming is done, to dose the bush with a cup of vinegar - they need an acidic soil. This one I've cut back every year a bit to help with the blooms - and I scored big this year :). thank you.
Holy smokes, that azalea is huge! My grandmother has azaleas, but they're not nearly that size.I also have a fondness for wind chimes ;)
Wow! That is breathtaking! Beautiful!
I have also heard that since they love acid, it's not a bad idea to encourage peeing on azalea bushes! I saw Fozzie doing so this morning and praised him :) I love azaleas--bought two last weekend and plan on getting some more this weekend!
That azalea is so very beautiful! I love the advice above about vinegar!! (and peeing!)Have a wonderful evening!
