It is nice to have a working and cooperative relationship with the other rescues, shelters and sanctuaries in the Cape area and beyond. These photos are of Little Lenny, an adult Beagle who was one of too many dogs for his family. They turned him into the Humane Society of Southeast Missouri, with whom I have worked on behalf of the dogs before. R kept holding Lenny as she went about her duties at the shelter; he is so very small, about 15# and that bulging eye, now gone, was painful to look at and probably painful to live with. So, Silverwalk got an email - "just another favor, please." Well, how c
ould I not? I didn't have the funds for his treatments (eye removal or enucleation, neuter, HW) but R and T raised funds for him. He is a doll, can be so funny, seems to be house trained and gets along with all the other dogs, big and small.
